Greetings fellow Optimists

Optimists have improved their communities and benefited the Youth for years, even decades for many clubs. We have brought smiles to the faces of children and improved their destiny in life. The future for these kids is the genesis of the 2007-2008 Iowa District Theme, CREATING BRIGHTER TOMORROWS.

To accomplish our goal, we must focus on growth –Growth in the number of projects for the kids, Growth in membership to support increased projects, and Growth in new clubs to reach areas of the district that are not being served today.

I encourage you to participate in your own club’s activities as well as at the District Conferences and Convention. Optimists throughout the Iowa District are wonderful people. We enjoy what we do and enjoy sharing in the fun together!

Now, we all need more than ever, for the Iowa District to unite as a team for us to begin,
